The (New) Hotel Jaguar, will be open to the public, from March 21, 2022. Reservations are accepted from December 21, 2021. If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your reservation free of charge, you can make it, within 48 hours, before the booked day, taking into account the 48 hours until the start of check-in at 3 P.M.

Descriptive summary of the Hotel Jaguar
and certain areas of the city.

Stay just minutes from the heart of Porto, without hubbub. Hotel Jaguar offers 4-star facilities and is located 300 meters from “Marquês square” and its Metro station; and from there begins, one of the busiest shopping streets in Porto, “Rua de Santa Catarina”. The rooms are elegantly decorated and soundproofed, some of which have a terrace. All rooms have air conditioning, very comfortable beds, flat-screen TV with cable channels, desk, wardrobes, electric kettle, safe, minibar, telephone, etc. Each room has a private bathroom with an excellent quality shower, clock, led magnifying mirror, hairdryer, scale, shoe cleaning products and free toiletries. Some superior rooms also include a spa bath. Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. The hotel also has a Restaurant, bar and free parking.
The Continental or English breakfast buffet costs € 9.50 per person, and is served every morning between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. If you prefer, breakfast can be served in your room for an extra fee. The restaurant is open from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm for lunch and from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm for dinner. The bar, where guests can relax in the evening and enjoy a varied drink menu, is open until 1 am in the morning. The reception is open 24 hours a day, offering a variety of services and information, including wake-up calls.
At the hotel reception, vending machines stocked with 1.5L bottles of water and food products, such as delicious sandwiches and fruit salads made daily in the hotel kitchen, are always available.

A short walk from the hotel, there are also a variety of restaurants where guests can enjoy Portuguese and local dishes. The location is an excellent choice for travelers interested in being close to the center, but who are also looking for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, just a few steps from the main attractions of downtown Porto, 400 meters from the hotel, begins the street of “Santa Catarina”, where the famous Café Majestic (Belle Époque) is located. In 2011, it was considered the sixth most beautiful coffee in the world. Nearby, you can also visit the Municipal Market of “Bolhão”, the shopping center Via Catarina, the Coliseum of Porto and, at the end of the Rua de Santa Catarina, there is the “Batalha square” and the National Theater of São João. A little further on, the Porto Cathedral and the Guindais Funicular, which takes you to Ribeira square, (“UNESCO World Heritage”) and to the entire historic center of Porto, where you can contemplate the iconic bridge “Dom Luís I “, which offers panoramic views of the Douro River and the City. There are several bars and restaurants on the riverside, you can visit the Porto Wine cellars and museums, the stock exchange Palace, São Bento metro,and train Station, Porto City Hall and its great square, the Rivoli Theater, the Clérigos Tower, the Lello bookshop and the Cristal Palace with its gardens. All these historic landmarks are close, the most distant being about 3,000m from the hotel. Porto also has other fascinating areas. On the west side, from Hotel Jaguar, at 2,700m is the Boavista Roundabout, and the Concert Hall (Casa da Música), designed by the architect Rem Koolhaas. Further ahead, at 2,900m from the Roundabout, are the lush Serralves Gardens and Museum of Contemporary Art, and from there to the City park, it is just 1,500m.

The City park of Porto, where the “Sea Life” Oceanarium is installed is the largest urban park in the country, occupying a total of 83 hectares, and is only 6.5 km away from the hotel. This beautiful and extensive park extends to the sea, and also takes you to the “Castelo do Queijo”. From this point, and towards Ribeira square, part of the promenade is by the sea, and it is on a wooden deck . Guests can admire the sea with its small beaches surrounded by rocks. Be sure to visit all these beautiful places. To the East, 1,600m from Hotel Jaguar, is the Dragão Stadium (FC Porto), as well as the “Alameda Shop & Spot” shopping center and, a little further on, at 2,300m, the train and metro station of Campanhã. Finally, the University Hospital of S. João, is just 2,900m from the Hotel Jaguar. All distances indicated in relation to the hotel are measured using OpenStreetMap. At the hotel you can get a daily pass for the Porto metro, at reduced costs, which allows guests to visit certain parts of the city, as well as its satellite cities: Matosinhos, Maia, Gondomar, Vila Nova de Gaia, Airport etc.
The City of Porto is served only by two Metro lines, so there is “free shuttle daily” on a Tesla Electric 7-seater, vehicle available for guests to travel to (10) locations, previously identified on the City map, and provided to guests at check-in. Guests also have access to a “free daily shuttle” among other vehicles on a Jaguar I Pace Electric, for each trip, (from one to four people) between the Airport and the hotel and vice versa, (every hour and a half) between 6.30 am 11:30 pm. Guests are advised to notify the hotel by e-mail of their reservation number at the hotel, as well as their flight number and time of arrival at the Airport. The hotel will always guarantee a response to its customers.

In case guests wish to visit the city of Vigo in Galicia / Spain, and other locations in the North of Portugal and Galicia, or travel to Lisbon via Coimbra, as well as going to the Alto Douro Wine Region, these routes can be organized every day of the week, departing at 8:00 am, and returning at 7:00 pm for all Tours. For this purpose, the Hotel has a Mercedes-Benz Panoramic Avantgard, a vehicle for up to seven people, available only to Hotel guests. The Hotel also has a Volkswagen E-Golf Electric vehicle, exclusively for guests traveling within a radius of 100 km from the city of Porto. For more information on the price of each itinerary and per guest, as well as other information, contact Hotel Jaguar by email, or through the Hotel’s website. In the Hotel there is a fast electric charger, for any type of vehicle. Free computer and photocopier are available. There is a place to store luggage, available free of charge. Children up to 3 years old can use a baby cot upon request (free of charge). Children from 3 to 14 years old, staying in the same room as adults, with an extra bed in the room, ranging from 1.20m to 1.70m, at a price of 40 euros. Other services provided include laundry + dry cleaning + ironing. All of these services are provided at an additional cost. Please note, that all special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Pets are not allowed in the Hote. The receptionists speak several languages, which facilitates communication between hotel guests. Check-out until noon and check-in after 3 pm. Upon arrival at the Hotel, guests must present a photo ID and the credit card that was used to make the reservation.
